I am looking for a louder exhaust/slipon for my 2017 MGX-21. Found Agostini and Mistral but they are too expensive (>$1000). Then, my idea is to have my original pipes debaffled.
Has anyone done this before? Any down side? Please let me know...

No not even seen an MGX-21, awesome. Downside is that de-gutting may make no difference.
On my buddy's Triumph most of the silencing was done by the cat. When he took his mufflers off the Triumph didn't sound much different... I don't know where your cat is, in the muffler or in a collector box? Tony

Daft thought but if buying more open pipes is expensive should you take out baffles from oem pipe then ever have to replace those puppies you will really find out what expensive is .... often way less to get stainless ones with adjustable baffles, that way MOT no issues. In the long term aftermarket adjustable ones are more cost efficient bud.
