The MIVV No Cat Y pipe has just arrived and has left me with a few questions that hopefully I'll find here.

There's a ding/dent. Not too bothered.

However, there's also an angle issue with both inlet pipes being at different degrees! Is this right? The lambda is below the door so not lifting the pipe. One lays flat the other tips up.

I would normally just pop out to the bike and eye things up but I'm just back from the dentist with a gob full of blood just after a nasty pull. Dead

Thanks Big smile

Can't help myself. Downloaded an angle/level app and went out to bike. There does appear to be a 6 to 7 degree angle difference between cylinders which would account for front and back.

Oww... The pain....

You have my full sympathy. Dental pain, like the common cold, is a very underrated discomfort. I hope you're soon back out riding and enjoying your catless existence - unless you have an actual cat, that is.

Thanks OldJohnboy. The extraction was rough. I think the pain is going to hit home later tonight when my basic brain functions, including spelling, return. The box was right in front of me too. No wonder my searchers yield no results! Embarrassed

Stu can you say whether the Y-pipe was worth fitting over the standard collector box?

Is there a noticable difference in say, starting, throttle response, sound or performance? I was thinking of fitting one in conjunction with the stock silencer. Given it's a £300 mod I've hesitated, wondering if the benefits are £300 quids worth. I know some people have fitted them after their collector box began to blow which sort of forces the issue somewhat.

When I had a wisdom tooth out last year I was on Anadin tablets for 2 weeks. And it was an uncomplicated one, as wisdom teeth go. And forget about eating anything remotely hard. Ouch

Ermm Can't really give any recent feedback as it's still in the hall.

Had one on my last Breva and for me it made no difference. I got this one as it simply removes the Cat. Weight saving and less restriction for the exhaust gas. I also had a leak between the slip on outlet pipe and the collector box. I've welded that though.

Not sure if you've done this already but balance throttle bodies do the valve tappet clearance and fire up GuzziDiag and disable the lambda sensor. Oh and as recently mentioned service the throttle cable free play. See if those 4 things make for a smoother ride.

I know it makes no difference to sound, maybe a little and no difference to performance, maybe a little.

Spend £300 on a service or oil pump!

But if you find one cheap, buy it Wink
