I was thinking of growing tomatoes!

I'm not 100% sure but I think newer clocks are sealed with a rubber liquid which sets and adheres to the surfaces. Possibly none serviceable. Not sure though. Possibly a change as older clocks have this sort of issue.

I think I'd be wavering between silicone and bitumen paint, with maybe some rice inside to absorb  any moisture.
And I'd prolly make a right old how's yer father of it ...
I did once fill my ammeter on the B33 with tranny fluid to damp the needle's movement ...
Is it worth contacting the dealer to see if it's a common fault?
If all else fails, emigrate to dry land.

Painting the ABS case might be an option, if it's got fine cracks in it.

I like the idea of painting and lacquering. New clocks look lacquered.

Hi Ben. Guzzi are aware of the problem and I believe they have changed seal material, or at least, the clock manufacture. It's not an issue with Guzzi alone though. A few products have misting issues to this day, including TomTom and Royal Enfield.

I may have ago at making a case. The bike is currently SORN so plenty of time to play.

Small cracks in ABS can be repaired extremely well with Plastic Weld. Just a drop on the crack and it seeps in and chemically welds it up again as strong as the original.
Most model shops stock it, but also available online.
