I too am only here because of the helmet law. I remember Fred Hill being in prison for it because he wouldn't pay the fine. He was a hero. Some days I think hats should be compulsory and some days I don't...perhaps it's the bang on the head?

I won't force my opinion on others, but I have worn a helmet since I started riding in 1968.  Not due to a law of government, but the law of survival!

I too was opposed to this law, but always wore a helmet out of choice because of the safety aspects and how would you be able to see when it was raining. Riding a 3 wheeler can be exempt from this law, why?. It baffles me.
