Hello to All - I have a question regarding the breather pipe normally fitted within the air box. Basically the air box breather pipe from my bike is missing. I was wondering how critical it is that the breather pipe is fitted and does anybody have any dimensions or can provide a sketch of one so that I can consider making one. At the moment I am intending on keeping the original air filter system rather than going down the road of fitting separate pods.
Best Regards - George. |

Hi George, in work at mo. My pipe was also missing but I took the one from the ntx to get me going. Would think a length of brake pipe could work. It helps to keep everything aligned as it runs through the whole assembly. The ball size that you are asking about on the other thread would be a about 3/8 ish from my foggy memory, would really need to look at it to be sure to be sure.

Hi Alan, thanks for the prompt reply. I thought that the ball size would be around the 3/8 to 1/2 inch so I'll try and find something around those sizes and see what suits best. Gutsibits have e mailed me saying that they have a used air box breather pipe so I'll get this sorted this afternoon.
Best Regards - George. |

Grab it with both hands, as the new price is very silly money. Now you know why i used the one from the ntx.

Don’t waste too much money on buying a new one this peace can easily be made with some 8 mm copper pipe and an 8mm tea jointand basic plumbing tools.

Great idea as the new price is very silly. That's why I said grab the secondhand bargain.
