When I turn the ignition key on, the fuel pump activates - but no longer stops after a few seconds of priming.
Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.

Normally that is the relays , located rear of bike under pillion seat .I always give them a wiggle first then swap them about and then finally buy . 
Before buying check with Ken guzzibear he as good information on where to buy

The relays are from Pyro Dan in the USA. I'm sure there are details in the Alternative Parts section.

Eyup mayte if the relays are the same as the ones on the V11 Le Mans along the top behind right hand side panel look up "Pyro Dan" on the net he is in the USA but top bloke order a set they are ALL 5 pin all work just means they are ALL interchangeable they are way better rating than the oem which are rubbish Now the fuel pump there are 2 types the external pump/filter under the tank easy to replace they are car parts just measure the spigots car ones are waaayyyy less than the guzzi one If it is an internal one same thing car part BUT a bit more of a faff to replace ...hope this helps The parts are listed in alternative parts for both types as are the relays mayte
