You could buy a thread gauge https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thread-Gauges/b?node=6286355031

A thread guage is really the only way. Large diameter fine threads could be anything. All the standard bolts etc. are most likely to be metric.

I've had a similar issue with a little Ducati. Prior to introduction of standardised metric threads, Italy had its own series. The most common ones are MA and MB which are the same as current normal (coarse) and fine pitch respectively. The Ducati parts book helpfully lists all the fastener sizes, so I've just ordered a load of MB bits to put mine together.
The only exception is the pillion pegs, which are UNF.
As said, unless the Guzzi book also lists the sizes, a thread gauge is useful. I have also used a vernier caliper to get the diameter and counted 5 or 10 pitches. Harder on internal but you can press a piece of paper against it and work from the impression left on it.

Wouldn't mind betting there might be a British cycle thread in there somewhere too. The same as British pipe threads are common all over Europe, but always referred to by their metric equivalent.

Hi welcome to forum. I am also restoring 1961 110cc Zigolo. Most threads are metric, MA course ( not sure of Italian word starting A) MB fine,(B stands for bene Italian for fine) good many are 11mm. Which threads are you referring to.
Not sure if you have parts list. link to Italian language copy, 2nd from bottom of page.

Do you have English copies of owners and workshop manual. If not I could photocopy mine for you.
good luck with restoration, I have found most spares available from Italian companies.
