My mate has a Goldwing. Bigger footrests yes, but they don't look lowered to me. They take seconds to whip off, I'll sure he won't notice Wink

The KDs are only 2-in drop but feel a lot lower.  I picked those because they're the only ones they do in aluminium with a rubber top like the MG ones.
I find them a lot more comfortable but I do not think everyone would.

What year Goldwing? They don't all fit.
Mine are quite definitely lower.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

Do y'know, I have no idea. Defo not new.

Old enough that the satnav positions us 1/2 mile behind our current position and doesn't know all the roads. He describes it as the grandfather of the new 2018 bike which he's fallen in lust with.

It is quite stupid as how Guzzi doesn't make it adjustable.

This is what my tech did for me

Now I can adjust up and down by a good 1" either way.

Brilliant! - I can do that stuff too Smile

Only possible problem there is the post must remain locked in orientation position (needs a lock nut and/or Loctite) and the adjuster thread must be no more than half the diameter of the post (engineering rule of thumb thing).

Putting a cable tie there would do much the same thing but not adjustable. A cable tie might slip round, use glue. Or it may wear through, use two, carry a spare.

It would also be possible to replace the post with a small L-shaped bracket to attach the adjuster. It would simplify drilling straight through the diameter of a cylinder.

Guzzi should have provided a range of adjustment when they built it, everyone has different shaped feet. That pivot bolt at the bottom could have been made an eccentric cam which would do the job perfectly

And here's my own take on that. I used an M5 for the adjuster as M4 looked too puny. This has a huge range of adjustment, higher as well as lower.

That looks good *thumbs up*

Just don't forget to re-calibrate the free play to the master brake cylinder

ha ha, no.

Set height of pedal then adjust length-out of push rod, so actuation of master cylinder remains the same. No recalibration of ABS needed.

With the foot peg lowered I like the pedal a little higher than the gear pedal, about the height of the foot peg or a little above, so I can apply pressure from the leg not just the ankle.  I'm still playing with the pedal height adjustment but it's already better for my flippers.
With the lowered foot pegs I have already managed to brush my right toe navigating a roundabout, so now I know where the lowest point of the bike is. I have previously noted I take this particular roundabout at about 20mph, so not lunatic speed.
Besides arthritis, I have pronated arches which limits downward pressure, and the left was broken in the distant past (not bike) which further limits movement.

I also needed a wider/bigger brake pedal pad 'cos my foot slips off the little stub.
I was told there was not one.
Then I've found Moto Guzzi V7 Extended Knurled Gear Lever Brake Pedal Pin 2S000323 which is about 20mm wider
