Almost got it where I want it, not 100% back to stock but close. First Auto bike except way back with a CB750A Hondamatic.

That is very, very cool although that screen looks enormous! I reckon you must have too many Guzzis to ride Cycle Hoarder, so if you want me to come and put some miles on one of two of them for you, just send my airfare and I will get the next flight to your sunny shores and help you out Tongue

Looks like a standard Cali screen but tilted further forward than usual, so very upright.  Normally they follow the angle of, i.e. parallel to, the forkleg.  Possibly due to the instrument pod being bigger than a normal Cali one?

Many have said you get less turbulence with the screen more upright.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

I love it , apart from the Cali ii seat. The original California looks much better imo, but I suppose the ii might be more comfortable. My Convert is a great remedy for de-stressing, such a relaxing ride.

Interesting how different it looks with the curvy coachlining on the tank.

Question: How do you keep yourself awake on a Hondamatic?

The T3 Cali, V1000 G5 and V1000 Convert have same screen, panniers too depending on the year early ones had different panniers .....but basically the same cycle parts the T3/(Fenders)

My first Guzzi was an Idro Convert. I bought it in Manchester as a student in '85 and drove it all around France and Italy that summer. Six weeks and 6500 miles without a hitch. Apart from a split oil line that covered my left leg in hot engine oil! Sold it to a mate and he had it for years too. Had two others since. And now as l seem to be getting arthritis in my left hand I may be looking out for another to replace my '79 T3...
