tappets noise and alot of  noise you will  have never heard before on other bikes are normal on Guzzi . When I first got a Guzzi after Jap bikes I rode with ear plugs in so I would stop worrying about all the rattles I could hear . Ducati  riders are probably the only riders that don't worry about Guzzi noise in early days of ownership

Yes, if you can't hear the tappets, they are probably too tight.

Expect to hear a rattle from the clutch when disengaged.

Do not run the bike in gear on the centre stand, the noise will frighten you - apart from the danger.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

Oh I hear it Brian! So do onlookers on the pavement nearby who turn around. LOL
Unless of course it's my handsome physique they are admiring.

What?.... It could be.

Lol
Yes the clutch noise is horrendous at 1st
But it very soon becomes normal.
Centre stand in gear
Done that one
Nearly sold the bike 😁 it sounds like an unbalanced washing machine £

Me and my brother did a complete service on mine for the 1st time a month ago.
Took best part of a day.
Finished off by setting throttle bodies using a manometre then reset the tps using guzzi diag.
The bike is like day and night compared with pre service.
Got loads of help off the guys on here
Did a 3 day trip of the lake district straight after including hardnott pass and tan hillthe bike was a pleasure

Hi Meloman,
I'm new for Guzzi and came back to motorcycles after 30 years.
Purchased 2008 Norge 1200, on 28 000km.
Can you share the full maintenance list please?
I will do it at the end of the summer.
Living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the season is not so long and I hope will have a good riding season
with no problems till the time of full servise.
