Also beware of the illusion of feeling safer just because you've got them on.





The "tiger eyes" in a Royal Enfield casquette headlamp are on with the centre line pilot and are not a problem with dazzling at night even with LED fitted. 

With LED in them the unusual pattern does give oncoming traffic a WTF! moment so they look again and see a motorbike.

The omg bike! recognition seems to work better in daytime with the headlamp off, pilots on, so the unusual glowing orb and bright eyes pattern stands out better as DRL. 
Two separated bright lights can get mistaken as a car a good distance away instead of right on top of them.
