Is that a wind turbine blade?
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

It is indeed a wind turbine blade. Made in Hull and displayed in the city centre. Huge they are, and 3 per turbine. Loads going up in the North Sea. I managed to park up near it in a pedestrian zone by going into town early. Then went for a ride around the Siemans factory grounds where they are made...upset the security staff that did!

I remember riding on the N10 in France and passing a one being carried on a very long truck, with police outriders.

You'd think they'd fly them in.

Thing is, I don't understand why they don't switch those big fans off when it gets windy, it just makes things worse for high sided vehicles, bikes and sailors etc.

There are plenty up here in Scotland, as if we didn’t have enough wind 😄
