I'm down to my last 30 bolts from this restore job on this 1979 v50ii and remember when I pick it up ,the headlight bulb was bad. I took housing apart and found out the bulb is a sealed 7" bulb.. and the little bulb the wires go to is soldier to the glass. I look at the parts manual it shows a little bulb for replacement ?  is this aftermarket one? But the glass hold downs are factory.  this is what it is printed on bulb cev  Milano Italy 53  168 12v-45/40w p45t..look around online -no luck. thanks guys Confused

The PT45 fitting was standard in Europe around that time, later replaced by the H4.

The reflector and glass unit will be a standard 7" and if you look around you might be able to find a later H4 type reflector which will give a lot more light, and replacement bulbs will be easy to get.

Since you are that side of the Pond, you might find it worth asking at places like Harpers.

thanks for the reply... I'm going to put a 7" daymaker on from Harley so I can see at night. My new Harley ultra led lights work great. I like the way it a white light not a soft yellow light and lights up the whole road and the ditches next to the road -so the animals I can see before they cross the road.

I know it's not local to you but you can get a halogen version of your original bulb.
 It would be far brighter.

I went to wally world here  and bought a h4 and had to take off the bulb housing with drem tool and  grid more off and try to make it fit. I would have to resoldier it back on to old bulb..  I was thinking after doing that  WTF I'm I doing.. Wasting time doing this and have the China made h4 go out after couple rides. And have to do this again...So I'm fitting in A Harley daymaker in my housing.
