Hi all
I am considering replacing the rear shocks on my 98 Cali Special with YSS 362 shocks.  The Special has chromed plastic shrouds that cover the top of the shock.  Can anyone tell me whether I can run these shocks while keeping the shrouds or will I have to remove these?  I note that IKON has a special model to run with the shrouds so am thinking that the shrouds will be incompatible with a shock that is designed for a standard Cali.
Thanks
Geoff

I have a Cali vintage that also has shrouds on the top of the shocks. On mine the shroud is integral to the shock, which would have to come apart to remove it. If your's is the same I think the answer to your question is no. Can you post a pic?

Ade.

On mine the shrouds are incorporated into the plastic panel that is bolted just behind the side panel.  This pic shows it:
I think there will be room for the top of the shock but the issue may be getting to the preload adjuster.
