The OP has made a nice job of getting his bike the way he likes it. ๐
That said, one man's meat is another man's poison and many will not like what I am doing to a Cali 3 at the moment but for me?................................๐ I have 2 Calis and love the footboards as well as the standard high bars. Travelled all over Europe on the 1100i and it has been very comfortable . My Cali 3 had a great big ugly oblong lamp on it but that was dispatched along with the tank, seat, mudguards and side panels when I started to modify it to get what I wanted out of it and have it in a style that suited my thoughts. My Cali 1100i remains totally stock and I even love the standard twin rear lamps. Cali 3 work in progress from this To This. Cali 1100i will always remain like this |

I love what you've done so far Tarquin. My Cali III is undergoing a similar transformation. From where did you source the seat? Have you replaced the wiring looms, my bike was originally a LAPD version and the looms have been altered so many times I'm contemplating remaking them. I, like many, would like to see some ongoing pictures.

Hi Thor, pleased you like the bike.
The seat is new and is for a Royal Enfield Scrambler. The large instrument pod was removed and replaced with a speedo and nacelle from a Cali Stone , as were the warning lamps . The only alteration wiring wise has been a little bit to facilitate the bulb holders from the new warning lamps onto the existing cables. The silencers are stainless Keihan and I managed to pick these up off gumtree for £40 with not a mark on them. The bars are Harley thick bars and were modified to accept Guzzi bars on the ends so as to ne able to use the existing switch gear. I should have been further on with it but I got waylaid by the purchase of my 86 Yamaha YB100 and a 64 NSU Quickly. Bloody 2 strokes, I can't leave them alone now .'๐ ๐

A friend once exclaimed that old two strokes were like crack cocaine. This was after he found a carb part he desperately needed and had spent many months looking for. My wife keeps mentioning that she'd love a two stroke. I do hope that she is referring to a motorcycle!
