Some advice would be very welcome:

Throttle has become sticky. Hard to turn and doesnnot automatically "return" to idle
I've put some lube into the cable and things are anbit improved but notnperfect.

I'm on the road and far from guzzi homeland. Other than hoping the lube works and hoping for the best, is there anything i can check/do? If the cable packs up, what are my options - all new cable from italy or is there a temp fix i could employ?

Thanks
Friz

Sounds like it needs lube, thin oil, 3in1 works well.I'd also check that there are no frayed wires at the cable ends.Have you allowed time for the oil to reach the opposite end of the cable from where you introduced it?

If you have had the tank and air filter off it might be pinched.  i had to replace one of mine after 10k  as it had been kinked in the past and just eventually jammed up

Thanks for the replies. Cable ends not frayed. The oil still needs time so i am hoping. Plus will have another bash with wd40. I have not had the airbox off but will check for kinks where i can.

Hopefully will make it back with no fuss so i can share tour pics!

Bike brotherhood was in full swing: noticed the prob, pulled up and a guy ran up saying he used to own bikes and asking what was wrong. Dragged his daughter out to translate then ran down the road to guide me to his mates' bike shop (who did what he could and would not accept payment). These machines bind people.

Just make sure nothing is interfering with the quadrant on the top of the injectors, or the linkage under them.
