Are you riding up the M6 and M74 Kate?? Or have you a more scenic route.
I don't think I could bear that much motorway.

I would like to go but I'm saving all my pennies for Sicily in June.
Yer can't do it all, unfortunately.

Hi there - I'm the owner of the bike and really appreciate the above comments. Not sure if it's a dirty word but I was a member of the "other" site for many years during which I've owned a Griso which got me into all things Guzzi. This led to selling the Griso and buying a Lodola and then my loop. I loved the loop on the back of the Cycle Garden bikes.

The top panel of the tank isn't A1 - I've discussed with both the sprayer and the pinstriper (yep these were done by professionals in their areas!) and it's been put down to the clear coat. It's a shame as the other areas of the tank are blemish free. With 2 young kids, I cannot justify (nor will the boss agree!) the expense to redo. Without being defensive, it's something I've lived with and hasn't detracted from what I think is still a lovely bike both visually and to ride.

More than happy to answer any other questions if and when they arise - thanks again for the other kind comments.

fair comment on the paintwork. I know my financial controller wouldn't sanction re doing it the same as she didn't sanction the potential purchase of your bike when I "casually" mentioned it to her i would have been to view it by now. Good luck with the sale. PS: I might have another attempt now I can tell her it's a bone vide seller etc.

I think you have hit the nail on the head here Kate.

Many of the Loops, Le Mans and even the more mundane models are being advertised by some dealers at unrealistic prices but I wonder how many have actually sold or if they have , what offer the dealer has finally accepted.

Personally, the Loop models have become my favourite as they seem full of charm and the black one in question is lovely BUT that tank paintwork let's down an otherwise very nice bike and should have been sorted out free of charge by the people that did the painting rather than the next owner.

As a tradesperson, if you do a shoddy job, it should be sorted free gratis for the customer or you don't get paid.

Maybe one day when I have saved up.

OK ...what would be a reasonable price to pay for one in good, useable condition, or does this depend entirely on year and specs?
V7 Classic Black and gold was the best. But green & black was nice too. Now blue is in!

Personally, I don't think It matters much which model it is. Maybe the first California or a very late and rare disc brake model command a premium but most are drum braked. I paid the same for my 750 as I did for my 850 near as dammit.

Unless I've missed something, why has the professional sprayer not offered to redo the paintwork at his expense?

Hi Adam (did you recognise one of your tax discs on the bike?!) - I had the pinstriping done by one guy and the painting by another. The paint guy was concerned about flatting back to remove the wrinkling versus damaging the pinstriping. I was loathe to take the risk as had already spent a certain amount on paint / pinstriping etc and couldn't afford to go further.

With only the top panel being affected (other parts of the tank are wrinkle free / normal), I've lived with it.
