In my Quota 1000 there is now an Sport 1100 engine with its standard clutch & carbs, and ignition from Silent Hektik.
Does the clutch on the 1100 Sport require more 'pull' than other clutches? The only technical difference from the Tonti-clutches are the two more springs, right?
I find it impossible to adjust it correctly, meaning to both completely disengage _and_ leave enough free-play for the thrust-bearing to survive.....
....or have I missed something obvious?

I have tried another gearbox, same issue, measured & compared pressure rods, all within specs, what next?
Next step will be to fit a 'standard' clutch, Tonti style, with an aluminium flywheel. What can possibly go wrong??

pull on clutch should be a little harder , but adjusting should be the same ??? thrust bearing ?

Sport clutch should be smooth and controllable but, it is heavy.

Thanks for your replies.
It turns out it is the Sport-clutch itself that requires more travel on the pressure rod. I have no idea why.
Just this afternoon I fitted the aluminium flywheel as described above. The gearbox is the same as when previously tested with the sport-clutch, the hand leaver is the same, thrust bearing is obviously the same, same, same...and guess what, the cluch is now working perfectly when tested on the workbench. Jippi! Tomorrow or monday I'll get the bike together and test it.
