I've started to look at my Le Mans 2 special project after many years and need to start by getting the fork tubes cut down (Marzocchi 38mm) as they're too long, don't know what bike they're off. Anyome know what bike Marzocchi 38s with longer than average fork tubes might be from?
They have these screws in the top, and a vent of some kind in the bottom of the fork cap/nut. Anyone know what these are for, and if the screws come out come out? |

Hi Adam, I always assumed (and it is only a assumption) that the overly long Marzocchi's were from either a Laverda or Ducati. The Laverda's would particularly be the more likely as they are quite a tall bike as standard and I'm not sure about Ducati's of the same era. There were Guzzi specific Marzocchi's as a after market option, but you would probably know more about such things than me.
Good luck with it all and hopefully catch up soon John
