Hello All
I have a 1971 Guzzi Ambassador 750 that I have had for about 27 years. I restored it (mostly cosmetic) about 20 years ago and it still runs good. As much as I love the bike but I don't have the time to wrench it and ride like I used to. I'm moving and won't have room for it so sadly I need to let it go. The bike is currently in Henderson Nevada. Here's my questions. I'm not sure what the market value is for this bike. I'm sure I think its worth more than it is. Can any give my a ball park figure of what I should ask? Also is anyone interested? I would love for it to go to a good home and I know the folks on this blog are Guzzi people. Thinking about trying to sell it on EBay but not to keen about that idea. Any suggestions? Details about the bike: 1971 ambassador 750 about 36K original miles. I am the second owner. New paint on entire bike including frame and dash 20 years ago. Has an after market harley solo seat but comes with original bench seat. Has aftermarket (original design) running boards. Includes a set of Wixom hard bags and brackets. Bags need to be sanded and painted but I have all hardware. Thanks for any advice or help you can provide. Attached are some pictures. Cheers, John |

Hi John. That's a nice bike, shame you have to sell it.
I don't know what the market value might be and of course the values in the UK and USA will be different.Loops are usually more expensive on this side of the pond.I would be looking at Ebay USA to see what comparable models in similar condition sell for.Isn't there another site in the US called Craig list or something of the sort where Loops turn up regularly. That might offer some guidance. Best of luck. I've just looked at Craiglist and there is an Ambassador for sale at $3495. It is nowhere near as good as yours John. Edited by Dave P. - 07 Jul 2016 at 12:20 |

That is certainly a beautiful looking bike. Shipping to the UK is not expensive for an historic bike, i've done it twice now and I would be tempted again if my shed wasn't full to busting!

Has anything been done mechanically? Particularly, have the original chrome-plated bore cylinders been replaced, sleeved or replated? If not, that devalues the bike by $1000 right off the top.
