my v7 misses at 7000 rpm and won't rev more than 7000 rpm. Is this a known problem?

Do you think it might just be the rev limiter cutting in?
V7 Classic Black and gold was the best. But green & black was nice too. Now blue is in!

Sounds like you're spot on Bob,

Granted not a 2015 V7 but I would imagine the rev limit would be very similar between years.

6th paragraph down in here, 7000rpm limiter.

And 4th paragraph here:

Also a quote from a review, "The same sort of wishful thinking is found in the tachometer, which stands ready to measure engine speeds to 10,000 rpm. Moto Guzzi has a hard rev limiter that kicks in at 7000 rpm, and peak horsepower happens 800 rpm sooner"

Never felt the need to rev my Breva 750 beyond 6000, am I being too gentle with it?

I've put my own red line at 6,500 in red tape and don't think I've ever felt the need to go over it. Steve.

Yes this rings a bell with me too, rev limiter. Read it somewhere.

I think someone asked this question before, or rather "does it have a rev limiter".
