I was recommended to join this forum by an exisiting member Clap

My wife's 2006 Breva 750 (96,000 miles) is leaking gearbox oil from the gearbox output shaft seal. I've removed the swing arm etc. and everything's cleaned and inspected. The shaft splines and bearings etc. are all in excellent condition.

Before I attempt to replace the offending seal has anyone got any tips on how to remove it?

yeah it is the same as any other seal  on the older bike i used 2 flat bladed screw drivers if you have the cash there is available a seal removing tool it is not that difficult as it does not matter if you damage the seal to put ont back is a simple job too oil the inner surface , i place some silicone seal on the seal surface odf the gearbox after cleaning it with a kitchen scrubbie the green thing, that way the surface is clean you need to use a socket head the same size as the seal to gently tap it home take a llok at "HOW TO REPLACE AN ENGINE SEAL" ON LINE ASK AND LOOK ON OTHER FORUME TOO MATE IF YOU ARE IN THE EAST MIDS YOU CAN TAKE THE GEARBOX O tWIGGERS OR wEST MIDS TO nbs TO HAVE THE SEAL REPLACED IF YOU ARE UNSURE
The Older i Get, The Better I Was
