It appears my newly acquired quota is becoming a bit of a rolling restoration, the latest issue being a leaky rear crankshaft seal. I am used to tonti framed bikes, I see on the quota frame the lower rails and front down tubes come off as a oner.
After a bit of advice, is it possible to unbolt the motor and slide it off the gearbox? Ideally leaving most of the bike intact. Any top tips appreciated. Ian |

Hi Ian,
Congratulations with your Quota. I am sure you will love, eventually...;-) Yes, recently I myself removed the engine on my Q this way. Make sure to use some ties or something to keep it from falling down. Guess you had that worked out already. Advice: Take some pictures to remind you how things go together. Would have saved me some time..... Cheers, Lars Norway |
