Hi Gents,
I am a new member on this forum, first post for me. I have recently picked up a '71 750 Ambassador in a very rough condition. It is missing a starter motor, but a guy down the other end of the country (NZ) tells me he has a later '75 starter he will sell, if it is any use to me. Neither he nor I know if it will fit. Do any of you folks know? Any advice appreciated, regards Rick |

I believe it will fit. The early ones have the solenoid underneath, so with solenoid on top you will need to check clearance, but others have done it. Try Gregory Bender's website, loads of useful information there.

I'm pretty sure it will fit.The Bosch and Valeo replacements offered by Gutsibits in England fit all or nearly all of the big block twins.
Check out GUTSIBITS it should convince you. Enjoy the Ambo' they are excellent. |
