Anyone else have to tighten their exhaust headers every 2-3000 miles?
I'm getting outbursts of Hardly Abelson type noise every so often which is cured by giving the bolts holding the header pipes a quarter turn. I don't fancy loctiting them and can probably live with getting the allen keys out once in a while, but just wondered if this was normal?
Cheers

At first mine came loose but after some vigorous attention with the allen key I've had no more problems.

Thank you. Glad it isn't just me.
I am being careful with the bolts, it's easier to tighten the loose ones than sort of the stripped ones, so possibly a tad tighter is needed.

Can you get a spring washer under them?

They do need spring or the star washers under them then it is no problem New gaskets will need a nip up after a few hundred miles or a dozen or so heat/cool cycles and that is pretty much it
