Ok, managed a small amount of progress. We have light! Thanks to Barry who lent me a spare headlight with bulb holder from his 850T (because I have mislaid the T3 Cali lens and headlamp rim for now), I've managed now to get to the point that I have lights all round, and the brake light and indicators also work. I also reinstalled the breather box after it was powdercoated and having added a later ball valve and disabling the flapper valve in the box, as per Guzzilology. Barry also donated an ignition switch cover as the original seems to have deteriorated over the years. I have also painted over the rust on the swinging arm with Hammerite Satin Black, trying to match in with the rest of the original paint, but I'll reserve judgement until it's all dried.

Yes my ignition sw cover went like that too. Assume that means it's real rubber?

Is the item below a piece of your work Adam? I bought a V7 Sport last week and it's wearing this badge on it's fork leg. I believe you may have supplied it, but I've no idea what it is!
Cheers, Derek

Yes, it's a period perfect repro Italian road tax disc, and holder - the holder is NOS. If you lived in Italy and owned a V7 Sport in 1973, that's what your bike would be wearing. So I know the previous owner of your bike.
