Heading into Europe for 12 days in July, Belgium, Germany Austria Slovenia general direction.
Going down the backroads to avoid motorways and cities and to explore rural Europe.
No real plan just see how it goes day by day so we will.
Undoubtedly y'all will have some good memories of places / roads worth visiting along the way.
No campsites as we are not camping.
No Italy or France.

cheers

Maribor in Slovenia is a pleasant city.

Lots going on as I remember (although I was there during a Arts festival).

Maribor is nice indeed. The obvious chocolate box tourist place is Bled and its lake.It is however worth visiting if only for the view. The Julian Alps are less touristic than the Swiss or French varieties but look out for the hairpin bends which are attractively cobbled.Fun in the rain.
If you have time Budapest is well worth a visit though it may be a little off your route. The parliament building with its three hundred and sixty five spires is stunning.
Are you heading directly to Slovenia or are you taking a circuitous route?
Oh yes, whilst your in Slovenia you could ride the 206 road.Stunning views and it's something of a switchback.

Who can tell where we will end up ? First night is booked still gathering info for the remaining ones.
Just looked at the map and Budapest is certainly possible although we hope to stay out of big cities. ( We live in one so we do. ) But heading that way would give us a loop back home if Slovenia is where we end up.

Cheers
