Just started to strip to rebuild the convert calipers all 3 are twin bleeds. F09 has a 7x1 nipple on the outer half so it's been repaired in the past but the thread in it is slighty over size ,the nipple does tighten up but i could see the thread in the caliper stripping in the future, the inner half of the caliper  has a off centre bad 7x1 bleed thread . If there was more alloy around the bleed boss holes i may have opened the holes out further and put in 8x1 nipples or made up some adaptors and used 6 x1 nipples but all this seems a bit of a waste of effort so wondered about blanking the bleed holes and using a banjo bolt that takes a bleed nipple. Has anyone done this to twin bleed calipers and if so was there any more hassel than normaly when bleeding the brakes when they were bolted on the bike, as the bleed passages in the caliper being at the top of the caliper may not help trying to get the air out. That go's also for the 2 front F08 calipers that also have bleed nipple issues.

The rear caliper on my LM2 has 2 bleeds (M6 IIRC), one was stuck and broke off whilst trying to remove it, I drilled it out but must have damaged the tapered seat at the bottom of the hole because a new one just leaks.

I put an M6 bolt with copper crush washer in it and it seals fine, the other side is good but I also fitted a bleed nipple to the banjo fitting and use that for bleeding, it's directly above the caliper anyway so bleeds perfectly.

Had no problems with it in the 7 years I've owned it.

Oddly my front calipers are single bleed M10.

Almost certain that the front ones had broken bleeds and were replaced by later calipers then. The original twin bleeds are fragile

Thanks for the reply ,it confirms what i thought after thinking about it after posting my query and bleeding the brakes on the guzzi can be a right pita although not as bad as a gilera fuoco now they are a double pita.

I found a simple way of bleeding a caliper with twin bleed nipples was to make up a hose and use a fuel hose' Y' piece, a cheap plastic one will do. All you do is attach the short bits of the 'Y' onto each nipple, loosen the bleeding nipples and either pump the brakes or use a syringe to back bleed it, dead simple!

I also use a syringe but have had better results sucking fluid through rather than back bleeding.

That's why I said, "either pump the brakes or use a syringe to back bleed it, dead simple!", the syringe isn't important, the Y piece is as it let's you bleed the brakes using both nipples simultaneously.

Whatever way is immaterial, whatever way is best for you Hug

Just to be awkward, on the LM1 I always managed to do it one nipple at a time. LOL#
