I am toying with the idea of converting my 1998 Sporti from Fuel Injection to carbs - I have been in contact via Instagram with someone who has done this on his race bike in Australia and he loves it (@guzziraceraustralia).

Any thoughts, advice and opinions most welcome.

I am aware it has been done it seems quite a process but, on a road bike there is little to gain especially when the ever increasing Ethanol in fuel causes more hassle to carb components. Upgrading the FI would be a better advantage. But as always your bike your choice

good advice Ken, unless it is to be raced there is probably little gain to be had but a lot of hassle and cost

I doubt there's anything to be gained, fuel injection is surely better in every way (if correctly setup) than carbs.

Of my 3 bikes, only one fires up on the first touch of the starter, idles cleanly, even when cold and fuels pretty much perfectly through the rev range and it's the only one that's fuel injected.

Still like carbed bikes though. Thumbs Up
