Hello

I have put down a deposit for the new 2021 V85TT Travel but am concerned about the most recent recall due to faulty valves.

Does anyone have more details as to the issue and if the repair would need a highly qualified mechanic?

I am not that confident in the only Motto Guzzi Dealer here in Vancouver Canada

Here is the posting found on the internet

Moto Guzzi recalls the V85 TT from 2021 because the valves must be replaced. According to the manufacturer, they do not meet quality specifications.

It is possible that the faulty intake valves have caused damage to the cylinder heads, in which case these will also be replaced. In Germany, between 60 and 70 motorcycles already delivered are affected.

So fr I've not been able to find any reference to a recall on the inlet valves. The only two I've found refer to a drive shaft seal oil leak, and footrests may come loose.

Only the Euro 5 bikes are affected Brian, there's also talk of a surging idle problem for which there's no known fix at the moment.

If it was me, I'd wait a while and see what Moto Guzzi do to fix the problems...
