Hello all, which oil do you all recommend for my 1992 750t Gearbox, one that I can buy of e bay would be easiest for me, cost no problem as I am a must for good decent oil, on a bike of this age I doubt synthetic would be a good idea, thinking of rubber seals etc
Thanks mallywoods.

there is oil man thread opie oils they give advice that is good, very reasonable prices, delivered to your door and an extra 10% discount adding Guzziriders Way better than hoping the E-Bay seller is offering pukka stuff .
Free to download owners and workshop manuals on Greg benders This old tractor website, can't give a definitive answer as my bikes are big block which use ep80/90 but i believe small block gearbox is ep 80/90 but bevel box is ep 120 .... go to oilman thread or opie oils website for best answer

Well confused, oilman says yes ok put a fully synthetic oil in a 1992 750T because 1992 is not that old in the oil world, going back to the sixties, seventies then yes do not use fully synthetic oils.
Then I find that my gearbox should have 85w-140 but a 75w-90 is better. I have no idea and believe it or not I am a civil aircraft engineer and my Bible is the the approved maintenance manual. Can we end this confusion and someone please tell me what to use.?? Mallywoods

Sorry, I can't help, but as a fellow aircraft maintainer, do you not have the bikes handbook to refer to?

As I said, EP 80/90 or similar in the gearbox. EP 75/140 in the bevel drive. Usually GL5 these days.

No the 750 T was an oddball and no handbook was supplied, however I have decided to use a good semi synthetic (Castrol) She seems to run fine on that.
On this site it seems that oil is a dilemma for many of us owners of the older Guzzles.

I think some owners worry more than they need. As one Guzzi officionado once said, yak fat will do if nothing else is available. But please bear in mind, all the small block 750 range are exactly the same in respect of oils etc, so there is no need for a specific handbook for that model.
