Hi Folks,
Had a great ride out today for a couple of hours. Found out that the H Cafe near Berinsfield, Oxon had a burger van running. Its usually a good biker meeting place in happier times. You can meet their and stay long enough to consume a burger but not linger. The police drive past now and again and move you on if there are too many bikes parked up. My route took in A329 from Milton Common to Stadhampton and then the B4015 to the A4074. Turn left and run down to the H Cafe to stare at some bikes and wolf down a burger. A4074 to Benson then take the High Street and head for Ewelme. Head for Swyncombe in the chiltern hills these back roads are single track with stones/gravel in the centre. More back roads to Pishill, Turville Heath, Skitmett and Hambledon. All very picturesque. This gets you to the A4155 and I suggest you turn right and head for Henley on Thames for a quicker blast. When you get to Henley do a U turn and head back the way you came all the way to Marlow. That puts you within reach of the A404 between the M4 and the M40. Enoy the summer. Michael

Sounds lovely. Except for the fact that you ate at H's. Last time I went I was in awe that someone could totally eff up hot buttered toast and a cup of tea, but the more you learn...
Alternatively, from Ewelme find your way up to Cookley Green, left and down a lovely shady escarpment into Watlington (be on your toes through Watlington, car bottleneck and impatient driving), then a nice blast from Watlington to the M40 (if you are so inclined, for a fast return to Milton Common) or under the M40 along to Chinnor, Princes Risborough, left to Thame, Thame back to Milton Common. All fun. Avoid the burger. Ditto the caff at Hughenden M40's old place. Edited by Barry - 25 May 2020 at 15:16 |

Took the 850 GT out for a spin today;first ride since last month's prang.
Took in Sunrising Hill and Edge Hill and lots of nice shady Warwickshire leafy lanes. There were lots of bikes out and about, but no Guzzis as far as I could see. Nice to get out again though. |

Glad that you guys had a god ride today. I too was out in the Chilterns today. On my tod, properly social distancing.
Had a sarnie and made a brew with my Jetboil at Chenies, a really pretty Little village near Sarrat. |

Fair point Barry, Patisserie Blanc it ain't. I know the roads you mention well, plenty of Red Kites to watch around that route.
I was wandering around Shropshire last Thursday and having a great time. Bit of a long trip just to hook up with a mate for half an hour though from my patch. Nice roads though. As for that Chrome tanked Cafe Racer - absolutely gorgeous. Nice idea taking your brew kit with you. Being a lazy tyke I just fill up a flask with latte from a petrol station.
