This is my Breva earlier in the year. Since this was taken I have swapped the bars for Renthal Ultra Lows, fitted bar end mirrors and the Guzzi flyscreen. Just waiting for Hagon shocks.

Nice bike you dont seem to see many tidy ones. I like the little Bravas when I'm filtering through the traffic on my fat sport with massive luggage I often wonder why I didn't buy one instead

I brought a 750 Breva 2008, Ive still got it and we've been miles together. I love it, its my favourite out of all the bikes Ive had (5 in all)
It handles beautifully. Happy riding, stay safe! Jill |

Thanks Jillian, Just back from my first long day (about 350 miles) she was great, although the seat proved a bit hard for the last 20 miles.

sounds like a good day.
My tip there is invest in a gel seat. Well worth the money! (I am at the age where I now need extra comfort, or more to the point, extra padding!😁) Jill |

After a certain age and 330 miles, *every* seat proves a bit hard! Take a break every 150 or so miles and you'll be fine: the Breva seat is one of the more comfortable I've had, tbh. On a side note, last year I found my fundamentals were frying when I rode the T3 in summer. It turns out that the PO had - without noting it on otherwise comprehensive paperwork - fitted gel seats. Leave them parked in the sun, and it's a toasty hour or two! Stay safe, all! Paul

Word of caution on gell seats: Don't park in direct sunlight. I had one on my Classic and stopped off for lunch and when I got back on the bike it felt like something under the seat was on fire. Took ages for the gell to cool down!

V7 Classic Black and gold was the best. But green & black was nice too. Now blue is in!

A sheepskin on the seat in hot weather is useful. It prevents some discomfort and reduces perspiration in the area we don't talk about.

Plus 1 for a bit of sheepskin, always used one touring over last 30 years or so. Fantastic bit of kit.
There is a mail order place sorry can't remember the name but they sell saddle sized bits and it's real not synthetic. All my mates ended up getting one. Only about £15 or so. Adds a bit of cooling as well as comfort. Had a gel insert on a Pan and it always felt a bit hard. Cheers Ian

Thanks everyone. Will give it some thought. I an certainly 'of an age' when I should know better. I do have an air seat in the cupboard so I'll try that first. Sheepskin would have the added benefit of winding up my Aprillia Factory V4 riding mate.

If you are camping the sheepskin rolls up to make a nice pillow.
Black Herdwick is good 'cos it doesn't show the muck. Edited by Dave P. - 22 May 2020 at 10:32 |
