I've noticed that the stainless exhausts on my V50 go straw couloured if I leave it ticking over but this goes away when I give it a run.

Well done on getting the LM running though. Just in time for some nice weather (maybe).

The system sets itself from there! No mention of turning the distributor for any adjustments.

I think that the distributor is possibly right at that point but out of synch for the other side...I've been there with that one years ago and it was a pain in the a to get right but a little bit of time and understanding sorted it...I havn't read any of the intervening posts since you wrote this so I may be completly wrong but it is possible...

If you do read the intervening posts you will see that starting on the left cylinder instead of the right made everything work as it should.

So yes, hope for some better weather soon and get a decent ride in. I do still need to get the de-linked front brake sorted, it has a habit of going spongy once in a while.

Yes, really peachy! At first I thought it said 'JAWA' on the side panel. Sorry about that

I too could do with turning the clock back 30 years, had my bike licence 40 years, I won’t be making many long trips on this one.
JAWS are my son’s initials, spent a lot of time in the garage so promised my wife I’d put his name on it.

I hope it pays off, it was an expensive risk, so persevering a must.
On this project I set out with the intention of simplifying as much as possible, so with the m-unit, alternator, coils, C5, ant gravity battery and none of the original wiring or switches I am depending on as you call it "electrickery" It is nice to have minimal wiring. Only time will tell.
