I didn't realise they still made Roadrunners. Its funny to remember that Bridgestones used to be the first thing we got rid of in the olden days

Ha

And the Road Riders are a little cheaper too, can't be bad.

You know I think only one choice is rather good.

One choice = one choice, no worrying if I made the wrong choice and sorta kills off any tyre thread proper dead.

Not that this was a tyre thread, in any way, shape or form.

Cheers

Ian

This timely, come.on it after I had just ordered a tyre for my mk3 rear.  Got my self in a  real muddle over rim width and tyre choice. Had previously a 3.50on but was very disappointed with the mileage  Metz ME22 5000ish. Between looking at charts and what was on offer, seemed like all narrower tyres were front spec only. Rears appeared to be 400ish. So I has ordered a 3.00 and then realised its marked down as a front only, ahhh.  Well when the invoice came through it said front rear, and sure enough the tyre also marked front rear. So I've put it on and scrubbed it in, probably about 170 miles on it now after today, and all I can say is the bike feels as agile as ever. I now have a metz 90/90 up front with a continental on the rear and hopefully a bit more mileage out of it.

Hope it all works out for you and don't mention OILStar

Picking up my new rubber next Friday but will be a while before I have my rusty boxes of bits all together for a ride. I'll let you know how it feels when done

If it helps, I thought Roadrunners were alright too.  Transformed my Spada which came with Dunlop TT100's, which used to be well regarded but then manufacture went overseas and they went pants, were so bad Meriden Triumph had to start fitting the Roadrunners as OEM (my T140V weaved >70 mph – now, whatever other faults Triumphs of that era might have had, they did not normally weave!), and which required a slight modification to the speedo drive ratio IIRC. (Due to lower profile.) But anyway, with the TT100's on, the Spada got seriously scary if the road was only slightly damp.

Thanks Mike

Road Riders 2 being fitted Friday, time will tell, but lets face it I don't race around anymore, never was much good at it anyway.

So as long as they are not squidgy in the wet I will be happy.

Cheers

While we are on the subject... I replaced a Dunlop something or other with a BT45. First ride was down to Shepton Mallet, Saturday, on mainly wet roads and the handling was WAY better. Both 110s but I felt the Dunlop was fatter. I didn't get many miles out of it either, probably 5000max. That's on a T3 Cali, by the way.

If they made the BT45 in a thinner rear I would have gone with them. Always had em and loved them.

But needs must and given what everyone says I think they will be fine for a fat boy, and I don't mean a Harley Embarrassed
