Hi, all,
I'm looking at replacing the filling rattlers in the New Year. Hagon are front runners (price is a consideration), as I've used them on other bikes. I came across these: Does anyone have any experience of the YSS kit? Any opinions? Any others I should consider? Thanks! Paul

I fitted YSS to my Monza but as yet I have not managed to road test them due to my ongoing saga with the DVLA.
I paid £112 off Ebay for mine (new) https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_ssn=biketyresuk&LH_PrefLoc=&_from=R40&_trksid=p2499338.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xmoto+guzzi.TRS0&_nkw=moto+guzzi&_sacat=0 and was surprised at the quality as the tops are all aluminium, however at my speeds they don`t have to perform like Ohlins CHRIS |

I have found YSS shocks to be over sprung. That is too hard.

Hagon can advise on the appropriate spring rate for the load on the bike, and can supply springs of different strengths so the suspension sag should be about right. The advantage of their Nitros shocks is that they also have adjustable damping while on the more basic ones only the spring preload is adjustable.
I found my set took about 500 miles to run it - they softened off over that period quite a lot and I went from the softest damping to more mid-range. The MG originals on my V7MkI had soft enough springs but very hard damping so the back end danced around over bumps. Lighter fork oil also helped a lot.

Thanks for the responses, all. Christmas/New Year with visiting family has been hectic. I'm hoping to get back in the garage next week.
I think I'll give Hagon a ring: I have fitted them to two other bikes in the past and they've been fine, so better the devil you know... P

I like Hagon as they seem to be quit honest if you talk to them over the phone they advise on whats best for you not just whats best for there bank ballance. On speeking to them on a number of occations I have come away with there cheapest shocks as they are all that was needed.
