Folks, my V50 jigsaw doesn't have any brake lines or pipes.

Any views on whether I should use a rigid line, like was used originally, from the combined rear/front master cylinder to the front left brake caliper flexible pipe, or use a flexible one?

Thanks

Using the rigid pipe leaves more room for wiring loom and the coils etc.
Originally the rigid pipe was used to cope with the heat above the cylinders.

I had one made up at my local parts store for under a tenner, but I did have my old one as a pattern. I agree the metal pipe is better because it can take a line weaving around the wiring loom and other bits and hold that line; a rubber pipe would not do that.
One tip, when bleeding the linked side of the rear and front brakes, crack open the metal joint beneath the tank as you pump the rear brake pedal until fluid just come out of the joint then nip up the joint. That helps to get brake fluid to the front caliper.
