So, the front brake switch block snapped a pin and it was unrepairable...that a word? Call gutsibits and its on its way minus the tiny brass screws, nuts and ball bearing. And, yes I've been on the floor of the garage looking for the bloody things.
Now then. No pressure on the lever and the ball bearing presses on the button on the switch - leaving it open and no brake light. Pull the brake lever and the button pops back and we have closed, contact and a brake light comes on. I've got continuity at the switch for both situations - brake on and off. I've got 12v at the 2 wires from the switch gear. But no brake light. The rear brake turns 'em on but nowt at the front. I've looked at the wiring diagram until I'm cock eyed and can't see what I'm missing. This should be a doddle.... Help me obi wan

With the ignition on if you touch the two brake light wires together the brake light should come on, if it does then the switch is faulty, if it doesn't there is a fault in the wiring, check all connectors between the switch and the rear light.
Hope this helps

Yep it's a microswitch, but the size and style is quite specific by the sound of it . |

Bit of time chasing the problem but now sorted. Tangs are too short for blade type connectors so i need to solder them.
