Hello to all on here...
My name's Dan and have just signed on here. About 6 weeks ago I bought my first Guzzi, a Le mans Mk2 modified back to a Mk1. Have only ridden it about 140 miles and am hooked already. Have already done some work on it (mainly debodging) to be honest and change of fluids.
I have already gleaned much knowledge from this forum and so I thought I would join and occasionally stick my long and slightly warped oar in.

Cheers...Dan

Welcome boy. That must be about the best Guzzi to have started with. Anyone who wouldn't like one is either weird or too grown up! Just my opinion

Hi Dan, welcome to the board.  As others have alluded, you have a fine first or even last Moto Guzzi to ride.  I still have my first in the garage and I'm keeping it there in the family.  So do you still have the 72' 350 Honda?  I run around some vintage bike circles in my area and a buddy has this 71' to ride to local events.

Hi Sardineone………yeah still got the Honda, slightly modified and pretty much rebuilt by me. It's a lovely old bike for cruising the backroads and has a suprising bit of 'get up and go' when you wind it on.
But the Le Mans Mk1 I had on a poster in my room when I was a teenager (many Moons ago) and have never lost the urge to own one. Genuine Mk1's are silly prices now but you can mod a Mk2 to look just like one at half the price...It's still a Le Mans after all and I love it.
A mate of mine who is a pilot took it out and reckoned it was the motorcycling equivalent to flying an old but very powerful biplane lol ...

I took that as a compliment
