About to remove the Flywheel, not done before hear that no special tool is required? Believe the design pushes the lump off the taper shaft? Reason have more than the normal oil leak and maybe will block the splash feed that goes to lubricate the chain.

you are correct . slacken the castellated outer ring about 1/2 a turn then slacken centre nut and it will extract flywheel . one of the nuts is LH thread and i have forgotten which

Roger,
I've got the flywheel removal tool. I bought it from Valenti when I was getting some other stuff. Never used it yet, but I'll drop it over to you this weekend if it stops raining!
