can any one tell me please what fuel mix you are using in your moto guzzi 83cc  am i right in thinking it is 25 to 1  ?? many thanks guy,s

I believe the 83cc Cardellino had a chrome bore and fuel mixture would be 50 to 1, although if engine has been standing for some time or has been restored 25 to 1 for first few hundred miles would do no harm apart for the smoke screen on following vehicles. 
But then again speaking from experience don't think you would have many following apart from bicycles. Smile

lol i can see that might upset some one on a bicycle george lol.
engine has not been touched but has been stood around while i was restoring the bike. i must admit i did fire it up today on 25/1 and it did smoke a bit. so i will give it ago with the 50/1 next. many thanks for your help.

Don't know if this helps but I restored an Ariel Arrow a couple of years ago and found that a 30:1 mixture of synthetic oil (original recommendation is 25:1) worked very well - no signs of tightening up, and no smokescreen.
