Hi Howard, welcome to the forum. Have you seen the section titled General Electrical issues and the topic Click no Crank?

I had a similar problem with the fuse on my Breva 750. I was advised to use a 30 amp fuse instead, and 5 years and nearly 20k miles later have not had a problem.

The Click, no Crank topic covers this problem.

Is your battery good? A failing battery will cause that fuse to blow as well.

Thanks Brian and Mike for your comments. Will carefully check battery voltage for starters. Temporarily have fitted 20 amp fuse and carry spare fuses to keep me on the road. Will examine starter relay wiring and see if colours match those given in the thread. If problem persists may bite the bullet and do the mod although I am only a occasional leckie!! My bike is 2008 by the way. Regards

Welcome. Nothing worse than electrical snags but this is where you will find the answer.

Resetting the service note is a case of going into the service menu on the dash. You will need the service code for your bike, which you will find in the service code topic in CARC.

You can find user manuals etc. here.
As far as the dash menus are concerned, they are the same as the 1200 Norge. I can't see a user manual for the 1200 Breva in there.

Hi Brian and Mike, took the plunge and examined the wiring under the breva seat with the intention of doing the starter relay mod. However, found the starter relay and identified
Pin87 chunky black wire
Pin30 chunky orange wire
Pin86 small gauge green&orange wire
Pin85 small  gauge blue&green wire

Found no connection between pin 87 and pin 85 and therefore unable to do the mode!? Am I missing something? Noted all wires neaty go back into the loom harness. Bike started ok once relay reconnected(still have 20 amp fuse in place). Any suggestions. Thanks howard

What sort of relay was it you found?
The Breva had different relays, no numbering on connections.
Brian.
