Has anyone  removed the clutch from a Convert? I've done an Eldorado and that wasn't too much of a pain. Is there anything nastier about a Covert?

As far as I know they are multi plate clutches a bit more like other bikes ...as you know the 5 Speed boxes are not no idea about loop frames never looked into them but it is the same pain ripping the whole bike apart

Jmee do you mean the torque converter? According to my Haynes the gearbox comes off pretty much the same as for other models. The multi-plate wet clutch is inside the gearbox.

While I'm at it, my Convert has developed a whine. I'm not sure where it comes from. I suppose it could be gear box or transmission. Has anyone any experience or this - is it common?
