Hi all,
I've searched through the threads on the forum as well as the Dutch one but can't find a paint code for the black as used on my V1000G5. Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance Regards Mark

It's surely going to be the same black as used on the T3's! And if it's not, you won't find anyone qualified to tell you otherwise.

Thanks or replies guys.
I like the idea of powdercoat but as far as I am told, you won't get the stain out if you let petrol get on it? regards

I can't find a code for that either so I will pick a lightly metallised black from a catalogue I think. Thanks again all Regards Mark

The RS Paint locator also throws up a T3 black. |

Well what a faux pas I must have made. I just gave my tank and side panels to the painter and asked for them to be painted black. Seems ok to me!

Shiny weekend black !!
Your steering damper attaches to the crash bars where the spoilers go. Never seen that before so I haven't. Or maybe it doesn't. ... Cheers Min

But I won't. Edit: Just wondering now if this a photo perspective thing. Edited by Barry - 29 Nov 2018 at 21:35 |

T3 frame definitely has a lug to mount the steering damper on. Why on earth would it mount on the crash bars?

Look more carefully on a big screen. You can clearly see the damper is mounted on the down tube. Edited by Brian UK - 29 Nov 2018 at 21:58 |

Yes there's a bracket for it. I think every Tonti frame has one. My 850 LM had it, even tho it's not used. |
