What's the diameter? Should be a (big) 100mm item.

Thanks,

But on the picture that you've sended you see the casing around the speedometer.
That part is missing.. I believe the size of the speedometer is correct.

Can it be the case that in the past the casing was damaged and did the old owner made this new one?
Or is it a complete speedometer from another model?

Kind regards!

The bracket you show in your first picture is not the original for a the v1000 Convert.  As far as I know (I don't own one) they all had the large console, examples of which show in the link I posted.  Yours? It could have been damaged, or a previous owner may just have thought "My goodness, that's ugly!" and decided on a change!

If your speedo is 100mm diameter, they maybe just threw away the casing.

We have some V1000 Convert owners in this forum, I think, so perhaps someone will come along soon who can photograph what they have.

Some of the casings have been sold on eBay just recently, so you should make some 'saved searches' on eBay.it, eBay.de, eBay.co.uk and hope for one soon.   (o;

Or perhaps, if you are very lucky, someone in this forum knows where one is hiding!

That is the correct housing the speedo is 100mm the nice aditions are the flick switches one for fog/spot lights the other operates hazard warning lights I know you may want oem BUT they are really unacurate I found a supplier that will not only make 100mm speedo they are electronic to get a screw into the gearbox converter from cable to digital look up digital speedos senders 12mm fitting the speedo is ETM instruments with digital instruments you could fit a tacho otherwise not possible as the Convert uses tacho drive to run the ATM fluid pump

on my convert the speedo is fantastically accurate, don’t know why it is, but at an indicated 80 it’s doing a real 79,

The speedo looks correct for a KM speedo, many hate the convert speedo  housing so look to change, for one you can hardly see the warning lights, in any kind of sunlight.

I thought that when you bought an Italian bike or car you threw the speedo out of the window.

Or is that just the mirrors?

By the way the V1000 Convert and V1000 G5 share the same consol the only difference in US - European spec is we have different coloured idiot light lenses ie Blue= main beam Green for Neutral/lights on/ indicators left and right .Red oil/alternator /low brake fluid .....the US spec I have seen all the idiot lights are red lenses .....
