The shape of the surrounding moulding definitely suggests a square or rectangular tang with the side ridges to stop it twisting.

No because my ABS Norge has the same blank hole.

Is this an ABS or non ABS bike?

I have a suspicion that my non ABS B11 is the same, and I came to the conclusion it was a tapping made to fit a cable clip or something similar when the ABS sensor is fitted?

I'd be tempted to put a short setscrew in so it looks tidier.....

Exactly the same on my 1100 griso - nothing has ever been there to my knowledge - also no idea what its for ! Hugger does not bolt there either.

Just got back from a camping trip to Brecons and Peak District on Griso, calling at Thruxton on way back Thumbs Up Noticed this today (photo has turned itself 90 degrees), looking through back wheel at inside of shaft drive. Looks a very clean threaded hole, can't see any screw that should be there in parts manual but thought I would ask anyway. The hole is in the middle between the two bolts
