I've used Pirelli Sport Demon as that's what they make in the correct sizes. Currently I run 110 front and 120 rear. It does slow the steering a bit but is more stable high speed. They are nice and quick to turn with the 100 front and rear though if you like it that way. I usually get 5K or so rear and 10 on the front.

Not sure if y'all get them in the UK, but my current favorite is the Shinko 230 Tour Master. I can get them for around $135 a pair. They have excellent traction wet or dry. Rear lasted 8k on my Convert, front should do 10-11k miles.

Yes, I put Mitas H06s on mine, 4.00x18 front and back. So far they've been good wet or dry but remember I'm a very "steady" rider. Centre stand is easy to use now. They were cheap and have a very deep tread but I can't judge how long they'll last. They were also dead easy to fit.
Having a 4in tyre on the front does slow the steering down a little at slow speeds but not so much that it bothers me. Max tyre pressure for these tyres is 33psi and I've been running them at 24psi front, 28psi at the back. Would I buy them again? Yes, probably. |

Front is actually 110/90x18 which is virtually identical in size to 4.00-18. I think the rear did about 8000 miles before I replaced it. Could have done a bit more but I like a bit of tread for winter riding. The front is still on. Very easy to get onto the main stand. They do perhaps look a bit modern though.

I put on battle axe bt45s the sizes from memory were 100x18 and 120x18. I’ve done about 4000 miles so far no probs nice and sticky and I reckon it handles great with the right pressures. Looks like loads of tread left but that’s not very scientific. V7john put some ”mitas” ? on his and I think got more like the original sizes. I’m not sure how he is getting on with them, might be worth a look.
Cheers Ian
