Very helpful people.Tell Dave I recommended him and you'll probably pay a surcharge
If you have built-in adjusters that could be a problem as they are metric.Unless you have old tatty cables with reusable adjusters that could be used in your new cables.

Have Venhill been a problem? I have used them for my cable parts in the past.

Thanks Dave, but shame no website, it's easier to see pics than try and describe opver the phone. I also found this which is helpful:

In my experience, Venhill have a poor attitude to customers and so I'd rather use someone else who wants the business.

A few years ago I was put onto Johnson's Cables, he will make up cables to whatever configuration you require. I removed the monoblocs from my BSA and fitted concentrics and I wanted adjusters in the cable outer, with slightly raised bars, you get the choice of lined or unlined cables. I couldn't have been happier.
His phone number is in the garage I will stick it on tomorrow.
The guy is actually interested in what you want.

Easy enough to make your own , inners , outers , nipples and cable adjusters from VWP .
As for that very expensive cable end birdcaging tool from Venhills easy enough to make from angle iron with a hacksaw , file and small hollow ended punch . You will also need a reasonable soldering iron .
Plenty of info on Youtube . Once you have done the first one you will wonder why they all charge so much .

I made my own cable end thingy.
Its bit of ally 1 cm think with various sized holes with slots in, to solder the ends. I tend to lay cable end in the hole after putting a bend in it. Get the blow torch out so to get cable really hot them add flux and solder. The solder doesn't stick to the ally so the end just pushes out.

Thanks to all for the great links and tips. I think I'll buy some bits from VWP and make up a thingy like Northy made and OGF suggests. Got to make sdome spare cables for the old Lodola to have on board next time they snap! Mind you, they were probably the originals..
