I don't know if it's the light but everything looks a nice gold colour.

Oh I see, no a trick of the light, indoor lighting always looks yellow to a camera designed for use outdoors. Which is virtually all of them.

Just polished the top part of the fork sliders.  I think I'll leave the rest of the finish just aquablasted.  I think they are originally painted but I don't see how it painting would improve them.

Finally the remains of the front engine bolt was removed today.
No problem to a proper bloke who knows what he's doing.  Many thank Phil T (Saultrader on this forum) for finally cracking it!
