It's off! The problem was cable routing at the front of the tank prevented it moving forward the 5mm needed to clear the rear mount. Now all i need to do is excavate the remains of the old speedo cable from the gearbox drive.

Looks to be. It is more a post than a bolt, with a mushroom head. I have pics i'll post after shrinking them. |

Here are a couple of pics showing the rear tank mount.
The problem was actually at the front of the tank. |

Oo tricky! Presumably head of bolt has a square below it so is captive in a slot? I.e. Won't turn.

just like my lemon.should be a grommet on tank which is a push fit over the mushroom
